Natasha's approach to activities is to make every interaction count, and to create positive and meaningful acivities. She always has a smile on her face and her energy is key to motivating residents.
Kate's focus on dignity has seen it become a set agenda item for every staff meeting! She introduced this to make sure learning information could be regularly shared with staff, as well as provide an opportunity to discuss ways to improve how we work.
Richmond offers a friendly, homely atmosphere, where our residents are cared for as individuals, and treated with dignity and respect. The staff led by Kate Birch provide quality nursing and social care to enable our guests to lead fulfilled lives.
There are 40 bedrooms each with en-suite facilities, each of which is furnished and equipped to a high standard. Making our residents feel at home is very important with families welcome to visit anytime.
At Richmond, we pride ourselves in providing fresh, wholesome home-cooked food. Special and dietary needs will be catered for and our team are always happy to offer assistance and discuss residents’ specific nutritional needs.
At Richmond, the residents receive the level of care which their own situation requires. We strive to satisfy the full range of personal, social, physical, clinical, spiritual and emotional needs of the individual.
We care for residents requiring daily treatment and supervision as well as those needing simple social care. Our experience is wide ranging from providing care for dementia, strokes, cancer, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, visual and hearing impairment to palliative care. We welcome both private self funding Individuals and those who gain financial support from the Local Authority.
Richmond’s staff and management have many years of experience caring for the needs of elderly residents. They also have a good local knowledge of Shirebrook and the surrounding area.
