A true 'home from home' in Shirebrook

Coronavirus: Latest update

The health, well-being, and safety of our residents and staff is of paramount importance to us. In the light of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s public address on Monday 23rd March 2020, we are no longer accepting visitors to our home. This includes the exclusion of suppliers and those providing services to our residents e.g. hairdressers and entertainers.

We understand how difficult this is for those who simply wish to spend time with their loved ones, and we are doing all we can to offer alternative methods of contact during this period. This includes the option of a video call, which can be arranged with staff at the home, and accessed via Facebook Messenger via the Facebook page, “Richmond Portal”.

Within the home, we are diligently following the Department of Health’s guidelines for hygiene, as well as our own robust policies and procedures. We are also introducing a number of activities and initiatives for our residents, to raise morale and promote positive mental health during this period.

We would like to thank you for your continued understanding and support at this difficult time.

If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact our Care Home Manager, Kate Birch, on 01623 748474.

"A big thank you"

"To all the staff at Richmond Care Home. Many thanks for the excellent care you gave our mum, Dorothy, when she came to you for respite care. She always came home with a smile on her face and we will always be grateful to you for making her stays at Richmond so happy. Once again, a big thank you from us and the family!"
